Nebraska High School Basketball - Southern Valley falls to Hitchcock County USD
(January 28, 2012: Trenton, NE 69044) The Hitchcock County USD Falcons basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Southern Valley Eagles to 35 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Falcons now sport a 17-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maywood for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Hitchcock County USD will meet a Tigers team coming off a 52-37 non-league loss to Paxton (Paxton, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 4-12.
Next up, the Eagles play the Phillipsburg Panthers (Phillipsburg, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Southern Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 69-39 league loss to Smith Center (Smith Center, KS).
