California High School Basketball - Verbum Dei overwhelmed by St. Genevieve

(February 1, 2012: Los Angeles, CA 90059) The St. Genevieve Valiants basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Verbum Dei Eagles to 46 in the Valiants league victory on Wednesday.

The Valiants now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony for a contest on Friday, February 3. St. Genevieve will meet a Saints team coming off a 70-58 league loss to Salesian (Los Angeles, CA). The Saints record now stands at 5-10.

The Eagles (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bellarmine-Jefferson (Burbank, CA). The Guards come into the contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Bellarmine-Jefferson was routed by St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA), 52-47, in a league contest.
