(January 28, 2009: Land O'Lakes, FL 34638) In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Sunlake Seahawks (Land O'Lakes, FL) basketball squad beat the visiting River Ridge Knights /Royal (New Port Richey, FL), by a margin of 36-28.

The Seahawks (7-14) will now prepare for their outing against Pasco (Dade City, FL). The Pirates go into the 4A District 8 outing with a 3-17 record. In their last outing, Pasco was beaten by Hudson (Hudson, FL), 66-62, in a league outing.

The Knights /Royal now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Land O'Lakes for a 5A District 7 outing on Friday, January 30. River Ridge will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 69-63 non-league loss to Springstead (Spring Hill, FL). The Gators record now stands at 13-9.
