(December 20, 2008: Newport News, VA 23602) Hampton Roads Academy Navigators (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA), 43-18 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hampton Roads Academy upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Navigators travel to Covenant (Charlottesville, VA) to encounter the Eagles in a VISBA Division 2 bout on Saturday, January 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Covenant won 52-20 in their recent non-league bout against Steward (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the encounter the Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA) in a Tidewater Independent Schools bout, on Tuesday, January 6. Peninsula Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
