(February 3, 2012: Era, TX 76238) The Era Hornets basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Collinsville Pirates to 41 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 14-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chico for a 1A-1 Region II District 13 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Era will confront a Dragons team coming off a 54-34 league loss to Valley View (Valley View, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 11-12.

The Pirates (6-20) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Valley View, TX). The Eagles enter the 1A-1 Region II District 13 contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Valley View trounced Chico (Chico, TX), 54-34, in a league contest.
