Texas High School Basketball - Gunter thwarts Bells

(February 3, 2012: Bells, TX 75414) The Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) basketball felled the host Bells Panthers (Bells, TX), 57-44 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region II District 11 test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, Whitewright defeated S & S Consolidated (Sadler, TX), 78-45, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 10-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pottsboro for a 2A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, February 7. Bells will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 53-50 league win over Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-8.
