Texas High School Basketball - Knippa trounces Comstock

(January 17, 2012: Comstock, TX 78837) The Knippa Crushers (Knippa, TX) basketball crushed the host Comstock Panthers (Comstock, TX), 56-26 in Tuesday's league test.

The Crushers (15-6) will now prepare for their outing against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers go into the 1A-2 Region IV District 31 outing with a 16-7 record. In their last outing, Nueces Canyon smashed Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX), 56-51, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leakey for a 1A-2 Region IV District 31 outing on Friday, January 20. Comstock will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 69-34 league win over Utopia (Utopia, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
