California High School Basketball - Hoover nudges Madera South

(January 17, 2012: Madera, CA 93637) Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Madera South Stallions (Madera, CA), 58-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Patriots host Roosevelt (Fresno, CA) to encounter the Rough Riders in a North Yosemite bout on Thursday, January 19. The Rough Riders go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Roosevelt won 70-36 in their recent league bout against Reedley (Reedley, CA)

Next up, the Stallions encounter the McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA) in a North Yosemite challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Madera South will attempt to improve on its 15-3 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 70-58 league win over Fresno (Fresno, CA).
