(February 1, 2012: Olympia, WA 98501) Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) and the visiting Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA), saw Olympia's basketball squad hold off Gig Harbor by a score of 49-43.

With the victory, Olympia improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mt. Tahoma (Tacoma, WA) to clash with the T-Birds in a 4A Narrows test on Friday, February 3. The T-Birds go into the test with a record of 2-14.

The Tides now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host South Kitsap for a 4A Narrows test on Friday, February 3. Gig Harbor will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 70-54 league loss to Central Kitsap (Silverdale, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 9-8.
