North Carolina High School Basketball - East Burke falls to Charlotte Catholic

(December 27, 2008: Connelly Springs, NC 28612) The Charlotte Catholic Cougars basketball squad scored 54 points and restricted the host East Burke Cavaliers to 42 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

With the victory, Charlotte Catholic upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Freedom (Morganton, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 29. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 10-0. Freedom won 92-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Tabernacle Christian (Hickory, NC)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a Northwestern challenge, on Tuesday, January 20. East Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
