Texas High School Basketball - Tyler thwarts Nacogdoches
(January 3, 2012: Tyler, TX 75702) The Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) basketball felled the visiting Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), 69-58 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lions (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Pirates go into the 4A Region II District 14 test with a 0-8 record. In their last test, Pine Tree went down by Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 52-29, in a league test.
The Dragons now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whitehouse for a 4A Region II District 14 contest on Friday, January 6. Nacogdoches will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 74-62 league win over Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.
