Oregon High School Basketball - Central Linn can't hold off Western Mennonite
(January 30, 2012: Halsey, OR 97348) The Western Mennonite Pioneers basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Central Linn Cobras to 56 in the Pioneers league victory on Monday.
The Pioneers now sport a 18-2 record. They play next when they host East Linn Christian Academy for a 2A Tri-River contest on Wednesday, February 1. Western Mennonite will meet a Eagles team coming off a 76-35 league win over Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 19-2.
The Cobras (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Wolverines come into the 2A Tri-River contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, Santiam was nudged by East Linn Christian Academy (Lebanon, OR), 76-35, in a league bout.
