Colorado High School Basketball - Haxtun prevails Sedgwick County
(February 4, 2012: Haxtun, CO 80731) Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs (Haxtun, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO), 47-33 in a league game.
In their next game, the Fightin' Bulldogs face the Yuma Indians (Yuma, CO) in a 2A/1A Lower Platte game, on Tuesday, February 7. Haxtun will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Indians enter the game with a 9-6 record after their 55-52 league loss to Akron (Akron, CO).
With the defeat, Sedgwick County moves to 4-10 on the year. The Cougars host Caliche (Iliff, CO) to face the Buffaloes in a 2A/1A Lower Platte game on Tuesday, February 7. The Buffaloes enter the game with a record of 14-0. Caliche won 84-38 in their recent league game against Merino (Merino, CO)
