(September 16, 2011: Carthage, TN 37030) The Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) football overcame the visiting DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN), 50-30 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Owls face the Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. Smith County will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 15-14 league win over Sycamore (Pleasant View, TN).
The Tigers (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Hixson was toppled by Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN), 26-23, in a league bout.
