Texas High School Basketball - Klondike can't hold off Loop
(January 6, 2012: Loop, TX 79342) The Loop Longhorns basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Klondike Cougars to 42 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grady for a 1A-2 Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Loop will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 59-57 league win over Dawson (Welch, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-5.
The Cougars (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Mustangs enter the 1A-2 Region I District 8 contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Sands was nudged by Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX), 52-20, in a league contest.
