California High School Basketball - Saratoga overwhelms Newark Memorial

(December 10, 2011: Saratoga, CA 95070) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Saratoga Falcons (Saratoga, CA) and the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA), saw Saratoga's basketball squad trounce Newark Memorial by a count of 53-26.

With the victory, Saratoga upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Milpitas (Milpitas, CA) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Milpitas won 48-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Irvington (Fremont, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals (San Jose, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 54-37 non-league win over Eastside College Prep (East Palo Alto, CA).
