South Carolina High School Basketball - West Ashley thwarts Goose Creek

(February 3, 2012: Goose Creek, SC 29445) The West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC) basketball felled the host Goose Creek Gators (Goose Creek, SC), 69-52 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (16-5) will now prepare for their test against Stratford (Goose Creek, SC). The Knights go into the AAAA Region VII test with a 11-10 record. In their last test, Stratford defeated Colleton County (Walterboro, SC), 63-46, in a non-league test.

The Gators now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host James Island for a AAAA Region VII test on Tuesday, February 7. Goose Creek will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 56-40 league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 12-8.
