The Pioneers now possess a 16-2 record. They play next when they host Desert Mountain for a I Section III battle on Thursday, January 5. Pinnacle will battle a Wolves team coming off a 42-39 non-league win over Harlan (Chicago, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 8-4.

The Firebirds (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Huskies come into the I Section III outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Horizon nipped North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ), 56-40, in a league outing.
