(February 7, 2012: Salem, OR 97302) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) and the visiting West Salem Titans (Salem, OR), saw South Salem's basketball squad hold off West Salem by a score of 71-70.
With the victory, South Salem improves its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Saxons travel to McNary (Keizer, OR) to clash with the Celtics in a 6A Central Valley test on Friday, February 10. The Celtics go into the test with a record of 4-18. McNary lost 45-31 in their recent league test against McKay (Salem, OR)
The Titans now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they host North Salem for a 6A Central Valley test on Friday, February 10. West Salem will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 59-49 league win over Sprague (Salem, OR). The Vikings record now stands at 14-8.
