Texas High School Basketball - Needville overwhelmed by Columbia
(January 6, 2012: West Columbia, TX 77486) The Columbia Roughnecks basketball squad scored 62 points and limited the visiting Needville Bluejays to 41 in the Roughnecks league win on Friday.
With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Roughnecks travel to Wharton (Wharton, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region IV District 29 bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-17. Wharton lost 51-22 in their recent league bout against Sweeny (Sweeny, TX)
Next up, the Bluejays play the Van Vleck Leopards (Van Vleck, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Needville will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record.
