Texas High School Basketball - Wakeland fells Centennial
(January 27, 2012: Frisco, TX 75035) Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Centennial Titans (Frisco, TX), 56-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Wakeland upgrades its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Creekview (Carrollton, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-17. Creekview lost 61-35 in their recent league bout against Liberty (Frisco, TX)
Next up, the Titans play the Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX) in a 4A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Centennial will attempt to move on its 19-10 season record. The Raccoons enter the game with a 3-23 record after their 60-35 league loss to Heritage (Frisco, TX).
