California High School Basketball - La Jolla can't hold off Madison

(December 30, 2011: San Diego, CA 92117) The Madison Warhawks basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting La Jolla Vikings to 47 in the Warhawks non-league victory on Friday.

The Warhawks now sport a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Clairemont for a Central contest on Tuesday, January 3. Madison will meet a Chieftains team coming off a 58-47 non-league win over Southwest (San Diego, CA). The Chieftains record now stands at 1-12.

The Vikings (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (San Diego, CA). The Hornets come into the Western contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Lincoln edged Dominguez (Compton, CA), 75-69, in a non-league contest.
