(February 7, 2012: Goose Creek, SC 29445) In Tuesday's league outing, the Goose Creek Gators (Goose Creek, SC) basketball squad nipped the visiting James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC), by a margin of 58-53.

The Gators (17-5) will now prepare for their outing against Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Warriors go into the AAAA Region VII outing with a 21-2 record. In their last outing, Wando got by Summerville (Summerville, SC), 50-43, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stratford for a AAAA Region VII outing on Friday, February 10. James Island will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 53-50 league loss to West Ashley (Charleston, SC). The Knights record now stands at 11-11.
