Iowa High School Basketball - Center Point-Urbana overwhelms Independence
(December 13, 2011: Center Point, IA 52213) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA) and the visiting Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA), witnessed Center Point-Urbana's basketball squad crush Independence by a margin of 52-19.
The Stormin' Pointers (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Bobcats go into the WAMAC - West test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Benton was trounced by Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA), 62-49, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Marion for a WAMAC - West test on Friday, December 16. Independence will clash with a Indians squad coming off a 71-54 league loss to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA). The Indians record now stands at 2-4.
