Texas City Stingarees (Texas City, TX) basketball nipped the visiting
Klein Bearcats (Klein, TX),
40-39 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Stingarees (8-7) will now prepare for their test against
Dickinson (Dickinson, TX). The Gators go into the
4A Region III District 23 test with a 12-7 record. In their last test,
Dickinson was tipped by
Pearland (Pearland, TX),
50-32, in a non-league test.
The Bearcats now own a 3-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to
Klein Collins for a
5A Region II District 16 test on Wednesday, January 2.
Klein will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a
45-43 non-league win over
Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL). The Tigers record now stands at 17-3.
