(January 20, 2012: Scottsdale, AZ 85253) The North Canyon Rattlers basketball team (Phoenix, AZ), was nudged 47-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ)
The Firebirds now possess a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to Desert Mountain for a I Section III battle on Tuesday, January 24. Chaparral will battle a Wolves team coming off a 68-28 non-league win over Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 14-6.
The Rattlers (0-17) will now prepare for their battle against Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ). The Mountain Lions come into the I Section III battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Mountain Ridge edged Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ), 74-63, in a non-league battle.
