(February 7, 2012: Los Alamitos, CA 90720) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) and the visiting Fountain Valley Barons (Fountain Valley, CA), saw Los Alamitos's basketball squad knock off Fountain Valley by a score of 62-52.

With the victory, Los Alamitos improves its record to 15-11 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Edison (Huntington Beach, CA) to battle the Chargers in a Sunset challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 19-6. Edison won 66-52 in their recent league challenge against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA)

Next up, the Barons battle the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) in a Sunset challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Fountain Valley will attempt to improve on its 16-8 season record. The Sailors come into the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 61-53 league loss to Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA).
