Florida High School Basketball - Baker County holds off Crescent City
(January 14, 2012: Crescent City, FL 32112) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Baker County Wildcats (Glen St. Mary, FL) and the host Crescent City Raiders (Crescent City, FL), saw Baker County's basketball squad hold off Crescent City by a score of 57-54.
With the victory, Baker County improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Forrest (Jacksonville, FL) to play the Rebels in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Forrest lost 71-64 in their recent league challenge against Parker (Jacksonville, FL)
Next up, the Raiders play the The Villages Charter Buffalo (The Villages, FL) in a 1A District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Crescent City will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Buffalo come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 73-33 non-league loss to Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL).
