(February 14, 2012: Leoti, KS 67861) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Trego Golden Eagles (WaKeeney, KS) and the host Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS), saw Trego's basketball squad knock off Wichita County by a score of 55-39.

With the victory, Trego improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, KS) to play the Panthers in a Mid-Continent challenge on Friday, February 17. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Phillipsburg won 52-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Concordia (Concordia, KS)

Next up, the Indians play the Sublette Larks (Sublette, KS) in a Hi-Plains challenge, on Friday, February 17. Wichita County will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Larks come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 45-33 non-league win over South Gray (Montezuma, KS).
