Texas High School Basketball - DeSoto trounces West Mesquite
(November 29, 2011: Mesquite, TX 75149) The DeSoto Eagles (De Soto, TX) basketball crushed the host West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX), 70-47 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Sachse (Sachse, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Sachse walloped Highland Park (Dallas, TX), 38-28, in a non-league test.
The Wranglers now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lancaster for a 4A Region II District 15 contest on Tuesday, December 6. West Mesquite will meet a Tigers team coming off a 63-56 non-league win over Edgewood (Edgewood, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 7-4.
