Washington High School Basketball - Sammamish overwhelmed by Mercer Island
(January 28, 2012: Bellevue, WA 98005) The Mercer Island Islanders basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the host Sammamish Totems to 44 in the Islanders league victory on Saturday.
The Islanders now sport a 14-4 record. They play next when they host Interlake for a 2A/3A KingCo contest on Monday, January 30. Mercer Island will meet a Saints team coming off a 49-39 league loss to Mount Si (Snoqualmie, WA). The Saints record now stands at 3-14.
The Totems (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Rebels go into the 2A/3A KingCo bout with a 6-13 record. In their last bout, Juanita was crushed by Mercer Island (Mercer Island, WA), 72-46, in a league bout.
