Florida High School Football - Sarasota knocked off by Manatee

(October 3, 2008: Bradenton, FL 34205) Manatee Hurricanes (Bradenton, FL) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Sarasota Sailors (Sarasota, FL), 34-7 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Manatee improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Charlotte (Punta Gorda, FL) to confront the Fightin' Tarpons in a 5A District 11 test on Friday, October 10. The Fightin' Tarpons come into the test with a record of 4-0. Charlotte won 31-0 in their recent non-league test against Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL)

With the loss, Sarasota drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Sailors host Durant (Plant City, FL) to battle the Cougars in a 6A District 6 game on Friday, October 10. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 3-2. Durant won 10-0 in their recent non-league game against Brandon (Brandon, FL)
