(January 26, 2008: Goshen, NY 10924) Burke Catholic Eagles (Goshen, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY), 81-64 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Burke Catholic upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Liberty (Liberty, NY) to encounter the Indians in a Section 9 Orange County IV bout on Tuesday, January 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Liberty lost 58-50 in their recent non-league bout against Galeton (Galeton, PA)
Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Hudson Sailors (Montrose, NY) in a Section 1 II - North bout, on Tuesday, January 29. Beacon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Sailors go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 56-41 league loss to Ossining (Ossining, NY).
