California High School Softball - San Marcos holds off Bishop Diego

(May 7, 2011: Santa Barbara, CA 93110) The San Marcos Royals the host Bishop Diego Cardinals softball squad by a count of 6-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Royals (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA). The Chargers go into the Channel battle with a 15-9 record. In their last battle, Dos Pueblos by Buena (Ventura, CA), 7-5, in a league battle.

The Cardinals now sport a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Clara for a Frontier battle on Tuesday, May 10. Bishop Diego will meet a Saints squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Carpinteria (Carpinteria, CA). The Saints record now stands at 9-11.
