(February 9, 2012: Springfield, OR 97477) Fans at Thursday's non-league test between the Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) and the visiting South Eugene Axemen (Eugene, OR), witnessed Springfield's basketball squad crush South Eugene by a margin of 68-34.

The Millers (18-3) will now prepare for their test against Churchill (Eugene, OR). The Lancers go into the 5A Midwestern test with a 0-21 record. In their last test, Churchill was trounced by North Eugene (Eugene, OR), 37-24, in a league test.

The Axemen now own a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they host Sheldon for a 6A Special District 1 test on Tuesday, February 14. South Eugene will clash with a Irish squad coming off a 72-32 league win over Grant (Portland, OR). The Irish record now stands at 17-5.
