Texas High School Basketball - Burkburnett nudges Prosper

(January 5, 2012: Prosper, TX 75078) Burkburnett Bulldogs (Burkburnett, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Prosper Eagles (Prosper, TX), 66-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Burkburnett upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Bulldogs host Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX) to encounter the Hawks in a 3A Region I District 6 bout on Friday, January 13. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Eagles play the Bonham Warriors (Bonham, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 6. Prosper will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 45-44 non-league win over Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX).
