(January 20, 2012: Tahoka, TX 79373) Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX), 47-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Plains upgrades its record to 23-3 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Morton (Morton, TX) to encounter the Indians in a 1A-1 Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Morton won 52-44 in their recent league bout against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX) in a 1A-1 Region I District 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Tahoka will attempt to upgrade on its 13-14 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 21-2 record after their 58-34 league win over Sundown (Sundown, TX).
