Alaska High School Basketball - Ketchikan prevails Cordova
(January 5, 2012: Cordova, AK 99574) Ketchikan Kings (Ketchikan, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cordova Wolverines (Cordova, AK), 45-30 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Ketchikan upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Kings travel to Thunder Mountain (Juneau, AK) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Thunder Mountain lost 31-27 in their recent non-league bout against Valdez (Valdez, AK)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Anchorage Christian Lions (Anchorage, AK) in a Southcentral bout, on Friday, January 13. Cordova will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 73-69 non-league win over Barrow (Barrow, AK).
