In their next game, the Rockets face the Chapin Huskies (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 1 game, on Tuesday, January 17. Irvin will attempt to improve on its 17-5 season record. The Huskies come into the battle with a 23-0 record after their 58-20 league win over Andress (El Paso, TX).

The Silver Foxes (12-11) will now prepare for their battle against Bowie (El Paso, TX). The Bears come into the 4A Region I District 1 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Bowie was overwhelmed by Austin (El Paso, TX), 49-30, in a non-league battle.
