(September 16, 2011: East Greenbush, NY 12061) In Friday's league match, the host Columbia Blue Devils football squad scored a close 57-51 victory over the LaSalle Institute Cadets.
In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the Schenectady Patriots (Schenectady, NY) in a Section 2 AA - Liberty match, on Friday, September 23. Columbia will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 34-12 non-league loss to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY).
The Cadets (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Colonie Central (Albany, NY). The Raiders enter the Section 2 AA - Liberty match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Colonie Central was nudged by Niskayuna (Niskayuna, NY), 56-39, in a league match.
