Arizona High School Basketball - Highland falls to Gilbert

(January 13, 2012: Gilbert, AZ 85234) The Gilbert Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Highland Hawks to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Basha for a I Section II bout on Monday, January 16. Gilbert will play a Bears squad coming off a 59-46 league win over Hamilton (Chandler, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 16-2.

Next up, the Hawks play the Chandler Wolves (Chandler, AZ) in a I Section II bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 68-60 non-league win over Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
