Michigan High School Basketball - Divine Child nudges Shrine Catholic
(January 31, 2012: Dearborn, MI 48128) Divine Child Falcons (Dearborn, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI), 47-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Divine Child upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Falcons travel to Lutheran North (Macomb, MI) to encounter the Mustangs in a Catholic West bout on Friday, February 3. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Lutheran North lost 74-51 in their recent league game against Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI)
With the defeat, Shrine Catholic moves to 6-6 on the year. The Knights host Loyola (Detroit, MI) to face the Bull Dogs in a Catholic West game on Friday, February 3. The Bull Dogs enter the game with a record of 9-3. Loyola won 71-53 in their recent league game against Cabrini (Allen Park, MI)
