(January 13, 2012: Cypress, TX 77429) The Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) basketball nipped the host Cy-Fair Bobcats (Cypress, TX), 66-60 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region III District 17 test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Cypress Ranch was tipped by Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX), 85-59, in a league test.

The Bobcats now own a 10-10 record. They take the field next when they host Cypress Creek for a 5A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, January 17. Cy-Fair will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 48-31 league loss to Cypress Falls (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 5-14.
