Texas High School Basketball - Itasca overwhelmed by Meridian
(January 13, 2012: Meridian, TX 76665) The Meridian Yellowjackets basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Itasca Cats to 21 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Friday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 16-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bosqueville for a 1A-1 Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 17. Meridian will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 52-40 non-league loss to Milano (Milano, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-6.
Next up, the Cats encounter the Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) in a 1A-1 Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Itasca will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
