Florida High School Baseball - River Ridge nips Ridgewood

(February 24, 2009: New Port Richey, FL 34653) River Ridge Knights /Royal (New Port Richey, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Ridgewood Rams (New Port Richey, FL), 1-0 in a league test.

With the win, River Ridge upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Knights /Royal travel to Hudson (Hudson, FL) to battle the Cobras in a non-league test on Thursday, February 26. The Cobras come into the test with a record of 0-4. Hudson lost 20-4 in their recent league test against Pasco (Dade City, FL)

With the defeat, Ridgewood falls to 2-2 on the season. The Rams host Wiregrass Ranch (Wesley Chapel, FL) to battle the Bulls in a non-league test on Thursday, February 26. The Bulls come into the test with a record of 2-1. Wiregrass Ranch lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Zephyrhills (Zephyrhills, FL)
