Pennsylvania High School Football - Wilmington Area smashes Hickory

(September 27, 2008: Hermitage, PA 16148) The Wilmington Area Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA) football routed the host Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA), 53-7 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 AA bout, on Friday, October 3. Wilmington Area will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 37-26 non-league win over Carrick (Pittsburgh, PA).

The Hornets (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Eagles enter the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Grove City was crushed by Greenville (Greenville, PA), 13-7, in a non-league bout.
