North Carolina High School Football - Lake Norman tipped by Carson

(September 27, 2008: Mooresville, NC 28117) The Lake Norman Wildcats football team (Mooresville, NC), was edged 34-30 in Saturday's league outing with the visiting Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC)

With the win, Carson upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cougars host South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to encounter the Raiders in a Central Piedmont outing on Friday, October 3. The Raiders go into the outing with a record of 1-4. South Rowan lost 24-20 in their recent league outing against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

With the loss, Lake Norman moves to 3-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to encounter the Mustangs in a North Piedmont outing on Friday, October 3. The Mustangs go into the outing with a record of 1-4. East Rowan lost 28-0 in their recent league outing against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)

Second Quarter Summary:
About 6 minutes remaining in 2nd quarter, Manser for Lake Norman runs in a touchdown and follows it up by running in a 2 point conversion. 3:27 left, Carson scores touchdown, they go for 2 point conversion and quarterback runs it in. Score at the end of the second quarter is tied 8-8.

Third Quarter Summary:
