Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Vista fells O'Connor

(January 5, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85048) Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) and the visiting O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ), saw Desert Vista's basketball squad overcome O'Connor by a count of 61-46.

With the victory, Desert Vista upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Thunder host Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ) to play the Padres in a I Section III challenge on Friday, January 6. The Padres come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Marcos de Niza won 62-61 in their recent league challenge against McClintock (Tempe, AZ)

Next up, the Eagles play the Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 9. O'Connor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 60-42 non-league loss to Youngker (Buckeye, AZ).
