New York High School Football - Saugerties felled by Monticello
(September 24, 2011: Monticello, NY 12701) The Saugerties Sawyers football team (Saugerties, NY), was knocked off 34-13 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY)
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY). The Panthers come into the Section 9 A challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Wallkill knocked off Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY), 10-7, in a league challenge.
The Sawyers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host New Paltz for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 1. Saugerties will meet a Huguenots team coming off a 38-0 league win over Highland (Highland, NY). The Huguenots record now stands at 3-1.
