Arizona High School Basketball - Ironwood Ridge can't hold off Sahuaro

(January 16, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85742) The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks basketball team (Tucson, AZ), was nudged 24-21 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Sahuaro Cougars (Tucson, AZ)

The Cougars now possess a 13-7 record. They play next when they host Catalina for a II Section I battle on Tuesday, January 17. Sahuaro will meet a Trojans team coming off a 57-42 league loss to Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 3-11.

The Nighthawks (8-12) will now prepare for their battle against Marana (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers come into the I Section II battle with a 10-10 record. In their last battle, Marana edged Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ), 49-33, in a non-league battle.
